Dual Rating method of Training The dual rating method of training is an effective means of reducing the overall cost of helicopter flight training by approximately $10,000 or even more. This is only effective for those wishing to maximize training options while seeking a commercial or more advanced helicopter pilot rating.

The progressive steps which have proved to be the most productive in this process are as outlined below. Some flexibility is optional however it is important that currency is maintained in both categories of aircraft (rotorcraft and fixed wing) throughout the training process. The average time of completion for a full-time student, 6-months. Part-time students could take considerably longer.
